For this week, we don't have any class due to Chinese new year. Therefore, instead of updating what we have learnt in class. I will share a little bit about Chinese New Year. This year, will be the year of Earth Pig! Chinese New Year is a time for families to be together. Wherever they are, people are expected to be home to celebrate the festival with their families.The New Year's Eve dinner is called 'reunion dinner', and is believed to be the most important meal of the year. Like usual, there will be a lot of fireworks during chinese new year's eve. Talking about that, it reminds me about the legend of Nian, where it basically explains on why the Chinese will light up fireworks during Chinese new year's eve! According to Chinese mythology there was a horrible beast called Nian which lived on the mountains.
